Caleb Yirenkyi joins Coventry City from Nordsjælland

 

Caleb Yirenkyi joins newly promoted EPL side Coventry City FC after an impressive World Cup campaign with the Black Stars of Ghana.

Ghanaian midfielder Caleb Yirenkyi has signed a long-term deal with 2025/2026 English Championship champions Coventry City, running until 2031. 

Caleb Yirenkyi, who won the best young player in the Danish league, admitted that conversations with Coach Frank Lampard played a major role in his decision to join Coventry City. 

The Ghanaian World Cup hero also mentioned Michael Essien as his biggest football inspiration after sealing his move to the Sky Blues. 

Yirenkyi becomes the third Ghanaian to have played for Coventry City after Dan Agyei and Thomas Brandon-Asante.
