Morocco thrash USA 4:0 to reach Olympics semi final

The Atlas Lions of Morocco have advanced to the semi finals of the ongoing Olympics in France, Paris after thrashing the USA 4:0 on Friday, 2nd August 2024.

Morocco joins Ghana(1992), Nigeria(1996, 2008, 2016) and Cameroon(2000) as the only African countries to make it to the semis of the Olympics games football competition.

Goals from Rahimo, Akhomach, Hakimi and Maouboab were enough to sink the US National Men's Team and Morocco sets up a semi final match date with Spain. 

The Semi final clash between the two sides is expected to take place on Monday, 5th August 2024 at the Stade Orange Velodrome at exactly 4:00 pm.
