The chase for this year's Ballon d'Or keeps getting intense as Vinicius Jr, Jude Bellingham, Rodri and Lionel Messi all seem to be in a good position to win the award.
Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has thrown his support behind Brazilian winger Vinicius Jr and the veteran Italian manager believes Vinicius Jr has worked hard enough to win the award.
He also went on the shower praises on Dani Carvajal and Jude Bellingham, stating that the two Real Madrid player had a fantastic season. Ancelotti also acknowledged the fact that Rodri is one of the best midfielders in the world who have been very consistent at the very top.
Speaking on obionepodcast, Carlo Ancelotti had these to say: “Vinicius Jr will win the Ballon d’Or, in my opinion”.
“Carvajal also did really well, he won La Liga, Champions League and scored in the final, won the Euros…”.
“But Vinicius… talented player, young, good image, won La Liga, won the Champions League scoring in the final and semi final. He scored two in Munich!”.
“Jude had a fantastic season. Winning the Champions League, winning the league, and it was a big surprise. The best player of the league season”.
“Rodri also is a fantastic midfielder, one of the best midfielders in the competition, and consistent”.

Vinicius Jr and Carvajal both scores in the Uefa Champions League final as Real Madrid defeated Dortmund 2:0 to win the trophy for the 15th time.
Jude Bellingham on the other hand led England to the finals of the 2024 Euros in Germany only to lose to Spain.
Carvajal and Rodri both featured for Spain in the final of the tournament with Rodri winning the player of the tournament award.
Many football fans and critics expressed their disappointment in Vinicius Jr and Brazil as they failed to impress in the Copa America with many believing that Vinicius Jr only performs when he wears the Real Madrid jersey but fails to deliver for his country.
