Man United falls short against Liverpool

 

Premier League clubs are preparing for the commencement of the new Premier League season and most of them have chosen the USA as their preferred location.  

Manchester United took on their Premier League archrivals Liverpool at South Carolina on Saturday, 3rd August 2024. An encounter between these two clubs knows no friendly and this encounter was no exception.

The Red Devils started with a relatively strong side with first team players like Onana, Wan Bissaka, Casemiro, Rashford, Sancho, Amad, Lindelof and Mount all starting. 

Liverpool on the other hand also started strongly with Mo Salah, Konate, Quansah, Elliot, Gravenberch, Jones, Jota, Bradley and Tsimikas.

Liverpool proved too strong for Man United as goals from Fabio Carvalho, Curtis Jones and Kostas Tsimikas were enough for Arne Slot's men to get their third consecutive win in their pre season preparations as they beat Man United by 3:0.

This was ten Hag's first encounter against Arne Slot after leaving Ajax. This rivalry only seems to be getting started as these two will be locking horns in the when the Premier League officially begins.

Liverpool's next pre season match will be against Sevilla on 11th August 2024.
