Coach Prosper Nartey Ogum’s boys were hopeful of securing a victory over the Algerians.
Ghana took an early lead courtesy Yao Gavi Robinho just three minutes into game. The Starlets doubled the lead through Eric Adu Gyamfi as he shoot at goal around the centre circle.

The Algerians however came into the game stronger in the second half as Zaidi headed home the equaliser as the Algerians scored two goals in just three minutes.
Minutes later, the Algerians had the chance to take the lead for the first time in the game but missed from the penalty spot.
Ghana faces Senegal in their next group game of the tournament.
