Resilient Spain downs Morocco

The Semi final of the ongoing Olympics saw Morocco and Spain clash for the second time at the world stage in two years. The match ended 2-1 seeing France in the finals.

The game took place at the Orange Velodrome in marseille. The Atlas Lions of Morocco took the lead on the 37th minutes through a well converted penalty by Soufiane Rahimi. Despite the efforts of La Roya to draw level, the Moroccans stood firm against every attack thrown at them by Spain. A beautifully strike shot from Fermin Lopez on the 64th minute of the game was enough to bring Spain back into the game.

Spain kept the fight on with Morocco trying to get back their lead until the decisive goal came in the 85th minute from Spain. Giving them a 2-1 lead . The goal was scored by Juanlu and the assist from Lopez. 

Key players for Spain included Fermín Lopez, who not only scored but also provided the crucial assist for the winning goal, and Juanlu, whose goal ensured Spain's victory. On Morocco's side, Soufiane Rahimi stood out with his goal and persistent efforts throughout the match.
