Arne Slot keen to work with current squad in the midst of transfer uncertainty

Liverpool manager Arne Slot has spoken about his desire to work with the current squad available, asking for time to also look at the youngsters.

Liverpool have been very silent in the transfer market and this has tempered with the patience of most fans as they believe that certain area of the squad needs to be strengthened.

The Reds were criticized last season for their inability to replace Fabinho with an established Defensive Midfielder despite going in for Japanese captain Wataru Endo.

"The first aim is to work with these players. The disadvantage is that many of them aren't here yet. The positive is that it gives us time to take a good look at the youngsters. Of course, Richard and I are trying to improve the squad where possible."

Speaking on the facilities available to the Reds for their Pre-season, Slot stated that the facilities are great. "The facilities are also great over here but the temperature is a bit different to Liverpool!"

Slot also confirmed that Diogo Jota will join up with Liverpool's touring party, and that both Ibrahima Konate and Ryan Gravenberch should arrive at a later stage of the U.S. tour.

Arne Slot also said that Andy Robertson won't feature in any of Liverpool's three matches on the U.S. tour as he's still recovering from the injury that he incurred during Euro 2024.

Arne Slot said the team is good enough to complete their ambitions even without transfers. But he does said it would be a surprise if there are no additions in the next month.

Here at TheSportsEcho, we looked at how the Reds would look like under Arne Slot ahead of the 2024/25 season without any additions on the transfer market.
