Ghana is set to host the U-20 boys AFCON tournament for the first time in nearly three decades, having last staged the competition, then known as the African Youth Championship, in 1999.
GFA President Kurt Okraku announced on his Facebook page that Ghana has secured the rights to host the 2027 edition.
The Black Satellites of Ghana have won the African Youth Championship four times, winning them in the year 1993, 1999, 2009 and 2021.
Ghana also made history in 2009 by becoming the first African country to win the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Egypt under the guidance of coach Silas Tetteh and captain Andre Dede Ayew.
