Ghanaian-born Dutch forward Memphis Depay says it was God's will for him to join the Brazilian League.
The former PSV, Manchester United, Lyon and Atletico Madrid forward joins SC Corinthians as a free agent from Atletico Madrid. The Dutch forward found the back of the net 5 times for the La Liga side at the just ended La Liga season.
Depay joins the Brazilian Giants on a two-year deal and and will receive a salary of €400,000/month.
After completing his move to SC Corinthians, Memphis took to X formerly known as Twitter to express his joy of joining the Brazilian League stating that it was God's choice for him to move to Brazil.
"My first day in Brazil confirmed to me that God wanted me to be here for a lot of reasons".
